Duties Summary
 
The Facilities Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all buildings and building systems and equipment at all company owned properties. This includes plumbing and electrical repairs.
 
Qualifications
 
High school graduate, trade tech or equivalent, plus minimum of four years of experience in HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems. Must possess good communication skills and be able to communicate in English.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
 
-Perform periodic as-needed preventive maintenance and as-needed repairs on a variety of facilities, building systems and equipment as assigned at all company-owned properties.
 
-Perform general troubleshooting on all mechanical equipment, i.e. air conditioning units for company owned properties.
 
-Perform electrical repairs such as replacing switches, receptacles and light fixtures.
 
-Troubleshoot breakers and replace as needed.
 
-Ensure that all lighting time clocks and lighting systems on properties are properly set and be familiar with “blue box” programming as well as the computerized lighting control systems and alarm systems.
 
-Monitor all standard HVAC & electrical materials and supplies.
 
-Notify supervisor when materials or supplies need to be replenished.
 
-Perform general troubleshooting, repair & maintenance on all plumbing fixtures, i.e. public restrooms, janitor sinks, landscape irrigation systems, hose bibs, storm drains and sewer systems.
 
-Change light bulbs and ballasts as needed.
 
-Familiarity with location of and operations of methane systems, CO systems, fire-life safety systems, including fire sprinkler shut-offs.
 
-Ensure that equipment and tools are maintained in good condition for use.
 
-Identify and remediate any immediate safety issues that arise.
 
-Perform any other facilities related tasks, including painting & carpentry as assigned by supervisor.
