Location: Farmers Market Gilmore Station

Job Overview:

The primary role of the Prep-Baker position is to consistently and accurately order all food ingredients, prepare all glazes, toppings, syrups, and cake wets & dries each day to provide all of our guests with the freshest and high-quality doughnuts and service.

Responsibilities & Duties:

– Accurately take inventory of all prepped food items and calculate your prep list for the day.
– Take inventory of the ingredients you need to fulfill your daily responsibilities and communicate with the Manager of any ingredients needed so that you may complete your prep list
– Consistently and Accurately provide enough wet and dry mixes for each day
– Consistently and Accurately provide enough glazes, toppings, and syrups to fit the needs of each day
– Properly label and store all completed prep items using FIFO
– Maintain a clean Prep station at all times
– Maintain all necessary equipment and utensils needed for you to do your job
– Support BOH Manager in training a new Prep 1 employee
– Mix, roll & cut high-quality yeast doughnuts quickly, efficiently, and consistently with accurate size & shape

Sidecar Standards
– Fry all doughnuts using the right oil temperature and timing for each specific doughnut
– Identify undercooked, misshaped, and undersized doughnuts
– Open & close your station according to health and company standards
– Maintain a clean working station and equipment with a “clean as you go” motto
– Communicate effectively with your teammates to promote safety and to achieve our mission of serving fresh doughnuts
– Support the FOH Team by keeping our display racks full for our guest’s view, taste, and purchase
– Maintain a welcoming and friendly work environment for all guests and teammates

– High School degree preferred but not required
– Must be at least 18 years of age
– Kitchen Experience preferred, but not required. Baking experience preferred but not required
– Fluent in English preferred but not required
– Bilingual: English and Spanish highly preferred but not required
– Quick Learner and able to multi-task, paying attention to detail
– Coachable, positive, and driven. Willing and able to work within a team to achieve the same purpose
– Demonstrates a strong work ethic, wants to grow & develop, and takes initiative
– Flexible to doing many different jobs in the kitchen in different roles as needed
– Current Food Handlers Certification required
– Must be willing and able to stand for extended hours. Willing to work overtime if and when necessary
– Available on the weekends and holidays
– Able to lift up to 50lbs
– Effective communication skills: verbal, written, and listening

Reports to: Shift Leads & BOH Manager

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: starting at $15 an hour with tips
